Area of application

Wound and burn gel is an anthroposophical medicine that is used to relieve discomfort from various skin injuries and diseases.These include first and second degree burns and scalds, sunburn, allergic-hyperergic skin diseases (dermatoses), insect bites, abrasions and ulcers.

Mode of action

The gel works through an active complex of natural medicinal plant extracts.The small stinging nettle (Urtica urens) and arnica (Arnica montana) relieve burning pain and have a decongestant effect.The Spanish fly (Cantharis) inhibits the formation of blisters.Marigold (Calendula officinalis) and tree of life (Thuja occidentalis) promote wound healing and skin regeneration.

10 G of the gel contains the following active ingredients: Argentum colloidale Dil.D5 0.1 g, Arnica montana e floribus LA 20% 0.15 g, Calendula officinalis e floribus LA 20% 0.1 g, Cantharis ex animale toto Gl Dil.D5 0.1 g, Symphytum officinale ex herba LA 20% 0.1 g, Thuja occidentalis e summitatibus LA 20% 0.1 g and Urtica urens ex herba LA 20% 0.45 g.Other ingredients include glycerol, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, sodium chloride, sodium hydrogen carbonate, sodium monohydrogen phosphate dihydrate, silver sulfate, thyme oil, tragacanth, purified water and xanthan gum.

Contraindications

The medicine should not be used if you are hypersensitive to arnica and other composite plants as well as to thuja.

Dosage

In the case of burns, the gel should be applied immediately as thick as a knife and kept moist with diluted burn essence.For other wounds, such as abrasions, the gel is applied and allowed to dry.Treatment of an acute illness should be completed after 2 weeks.If the symptoms persist or are unclear, or if there is no improvement after a week, you should consult a doctor.

Notes

No prescription is required for this product.For second-degree burns with blistering larger than the palm of a hand in children, medical evaluation is required.During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the medicine should only be used after consulting your doctor.After use, redness, itching and allergic skin reactions may occur, which may require discontinuation of the medication.The medicine should not be stored above 25 °C and should be used within 12 weeks after opening.
