Instructions for use for FRONTLINE Spot on K solution for cats, 6 pcs
Instructions for use for Frontline Spot on Cat
Frontline Spot on Cat is a spot-on solution designed specifically for cats. The active ingredient fipronil helps fight fleas, ticks and lice. The remedy works from the first contact with the parasites and is safe for cats and people. No prescription is required for this product.
Areas of application
Frontline Spot on Cat is used to treat cats against flea, tick and lice infestations. It kills fleas within 24 hours and remains effective for four weeks. The effect against ticks lasts up to two weeks. It can also be used to treat flea bite allergies.
Effective remedy against parasites
Ticks and fleas are particularly active in the warm months, but can be annoying all year round due to the warm indoor climate.Frontline Spot On helps end flea infestations in cats. The product works from the first contact with ticks and fleas, is not critical for humans and animals and should be used regularly. Most adult fleas should be killed within 24 hours of applying the solution.
Effect at first contact
Frontline for cats contains the drug fipronil. After application, it is distributed throughout the animal's skin by the sebaceous glands. The active ingredient develops its effect immediately upon first contact.Pests can therefore be killed before they bite.Since Frontline also works highly selectively only in the nervous system of ticks, fleas and lice, the product is very safe for humans and cats and is well tolerated.
Parasite prevention
Because Frontline Spot On works immediately upon first contact, your cat is less likely to introduce live parasites into your home. The fleas already in the apartment should also die through contact with your pet. This will help you get rid of an existing infestation and prevent a new one.
Application of Frontline Spot on cat
Take a Spot On pipette out of the packaging.Hold it upright and bend it at the perforated point.Part your cat's fur between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible.Place the tip of the container directly on the skin.Apply the spot-on solution to your pet's skin by emptying the pipette. For good effectiveness, you should use Frontline every four weeks.
Instructions for use
To apply the Frontline Spot On solution, choose an area that the cat cannot reach while grooming. This is the only way the active ingredient solution is absorbed into the sebaceous glands and distributed throughout the entire body.Do not wash your animal for 48 hours before or after treatment. If your cat does lick the product, increased salivation may occur, which will subside on its own. This is not caused by the active ingredient, but by the unpleasant taste of the product.
Note from our pharmacists
In general, we are happy to supply you with our products in normal household quantities with a maximum of 15 packs per quarter. As part of medication safety, we reserve the right to set separate maximum quantities for certain medications. This is particularly true for products that are only used for a short time or have an increased potential for overdose.
Reliable protection against ticks, fleas and lice in cats
Frontline is a veterinary medicine for the prevention, treatment and reliable control of ticks, fleas and lice in cats.It can also be used to treat flea bite allergy.Ticks and fleas can cause skin diseases such as allergies and transmit pathogens of dangerous infectious diseases.Frontline has a highly selective effect on parasites and, when used correctly, is not critical for cats and humans.
Application recommendation
Frontline should be used regularly because there is only complete protection if there is a continuous supply of sufficient active ingredient. It remains effective against adult fleas for four weeks and against ticks for up to two weeks.
How does Frontline work?
After application, the active ingredient spreads over the upper layers of the animal's skin within 1-2 days. The active ingredient is stored in the sebaceous glands and is continuously released into the cat's fur and skin along with the sebum. For optimal distribution, animals should not be bathed for 48 hours before and after treatment.Parasites absorb the active ingredient through the shell when they come into contact with fur and skin and are thus killed. Frontline Spot on can be used on cats from 12 weeks of age, including pregnant or lactating kittens.Physical contact with the treated animal is harmless once the application area has dried.
