Product features

Balneum Hermal F is a greasy medical oil bath that is used to prepare full, partial and shower baths.It is used as a supportive treatment for dry, flaky, itchy and sensitive skin, such as atopic eczema (neurodermatitis), psoriasis and fish scale disease (ichthyosis).

Application

Balneum Hermal F is added to the bath water and mixed well until an even distribution is achieved.To measure the required amount, the inner part of the screw cap can be used as a measuring cup.For a full bath (approx. 150 l) use 2-3 measuring cups (30-45 ml).For a children's bath (approx. 25 l) use 1/3 measuring cup (5 ml).For a partial bath (5 l) use approx. 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) of Balneum Hermal F.

The bath water temperature should not exceed 36 °C, as the greasy effect slowly diminishes at higher temperatures.The duration of the bath must be determined individually, but should not exceed 15-20 minutes.For infants and small children, an application time of just a few minutes is usually sufficient.To shower, distribute Balneum Hermal F undiluted over the moistened body and then shower off.

After bathing or showering, simply dab the skin lightly with a towel.Strong drying and rubbing reduces the therapeutic effect.The frequency of use of Balneum Hermal F depends on the type and extent of the symptoms and should be determined individually.Unless otherwise prescribed, the baths are generally taken every 2-3 days;If necessary, daily use is recommended.

Storage

Keep this medicine out of the reach and reach of children.You must not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the label and on the carton after “Use by:”.After opening, Balneum Hermal F should be used within 6 months.This medicine does not require any special storage conditions.

Ingredients

The active ingredients are peanut oil and thin paraffin.100 g of liquid bath additive contains 46.45 g of peanut oil and 47.0 g of thin paraffin.The other ingredients are lauromacrogol 400, isopropyl palmitate, N,N-bis-(2-hydroxyethyl)oleamide, fragrance (contains D-limonene, linalool), propylene glycol, butylhydroxytoluene (Ph.Eur.), palmitoyl ascorbic acid (Ph.Eur.) and citric acid monohydrate.

Important notes

For children under 2 years of age, Balneum Hermal F should only be used under constant, appropriate supervision.The special properties of oil baths generally result in an increased risk of slipping.Particular care must therefore be taken to ensure that children under 2 years of age do not accidentally slide their heads below the surface of the water.

If you accidentally take undiluted Balneum Hermal F, you should contact your doctor, even if you have not yet experienced any symptoms.
