Balneum Hermal F is a liquid bath additive used for the supportive treatment of dry, scaly, itchy and sensitive skin. It can be used for skin diseases such as atopic eczema (neurodermatitis), psoriasis and ichthyosis. Balneum Hermal F forms a protective and refatting oil film on the skin that reduces transepidermal water loss and restores the skin barrier. It can be used as a full, partial or shower bath. The bath water temperature should not exceed 36 °C and the bath duration should be 15-20 minutes. For infants and small children, a duration of a few minutes is usually sufficient. After bathing or showering, the skin should only be dabbed lightly so as not to reduce the therapeutic effect. The frequency of application depends on the individual complaints and can be carried out at intervals of 2-3 days. For children under 2 years of age, the application should only be carried out under supervision, as oil baths can lead to an increased risk of slipping.
