Instructions for use of Advantix Spot-on spot-on solution for dogs

Advantix Spot-on is a spot-on solution for dogs.This product is available without a prescription.It is used to treat and prevent flea infestations as well as to treat lice infestations.The fleas on the dog are killed within a day after treatment.A single application provides four weeks of protection against new flea infestations.The agent can also be used as part of a strategy to treat flea allergic dermatitis (FAD).

Advantix Spot-on has a killing and repellent effect against ticks, sand flies, mosquitoes and biting flies.It is also effective against the riparian forest tick and retains its effect even after bathing and swimming.The product is available in five sizes and can be used on lactating and pregnant bitches as well as on puppies from the seventh week and with a body weight of 1.5 kg.

Areas of application

The veterinary medicinal product has a persistent killing and repellent effect against various species of ticks.The defensive effect and killing of the vector tick Rhipicephalus sanguineus reduces the likelihood of transmission of the pathogen Ehrlichia canis, which reduces the risk of monocytic Ehrlichiosis in dogs.A one-time treatment provides a repellent effect against butterfly gnats, mosquitoes and biting flies.It also reduces the risk of infection by the pathogen Leishmania infantum, which is transmitted by sand flies, over a period of up to three weeks.

Application

For dogs weighing 10kg or less, the dog should stand still.Separate the fur at the application site until the skin is visible.Place the tip of the pipette on the skin between the shoulder blades and press firmly several times to empty the contents directly onto the skin.Apply only to intact skin.
