Venostasin® Cream is a traditional herbal medicine that is used in adults to improve the condition of tired legs.It is used for venous diseases to relieve symptoms such as pain, heaviness in the legs, nighttime leg cramps, itching and leg swelling.On hot, humid or stressful days, the cream can help refresh and cool heavy and swollen legs.Vein health is important because blood vessels dilate in the summer and vein valves no longer close properly, which can lead to heavy, tired or swollen legs.Visible symptoms of venous insufficiency are spider veins and varicose veins.

Mode of action

Horse chestnut, the active ingredient in Venostasin® cream, is used in traditional naturopathy to strengthen blood vessels.The vascular-strengthening, anticoagulant and anti-inflammatory effects of horse chestnut are used in particular to treat venous diseases.

1 g of Venostasin® cream contains the active ingredient 38 mg of horse chestnut seed dry extract (4.5-5.5:1), extractant: ethanol 50% (V/V).As other ingredients, the cream contains methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate, propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate, ethanol 96%, emulsifying cetylstearyl alcohol, sodium cetylstearyl sulfate, white petroleum jelly, perfume oil with floral and herbal scent (contains, among other things, butylhydroxytoluene, cinnamaldehyde and benzoates), Simeticon emulsion 30% (Simeticon, polysorbate 65,Macrogol stearate 2000, glycerol (mono/di/tri)alkanoate (C12-C18), methylcellulose, xanthan gum, sorbic acid, benzoic acid, sulfuric acid 98%, purified water).

Contraindications

Venostasin® Cream must not be used if you are allergic to dry extract of horse chestnut seeds, cinnamon (cinnamon aldehyde), balsam of Peru or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.The cream should also not be used on damaged skin, such as burns, eczema or open wounds.Children and adolescents under 18 years of age should not use the medicine.Its use is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding as there are no sufficient studies available.

Dosage

Adults should apply Venostasin® Cream thinly and evenly to the intact skin of the affected parts of the body 1 to 3 times a day.The application should not be carried out under final dressings and not at the same time as heat application.If symptoms worsen or last longer than 2 weeks, you should consult a doctor.

Notes

Venostasin® Cream should not be used on injured or damaged skin.No prescription is required for this product.Keep the medicine out of the reach and reach of children and do not use it after the expiry date stated on the carton and tube.The tube should be kept tightly closed to protect the contents from light.Once opened, the cream has a shelf life of 6 months and should be stored at room temperature and in the dark.

Side effects

Possible side effects of Venostasin® cream are hypersensitivity reactions in the form of allergic skin reactions such as skin redness and itching.Cinnamon (cinnamaldehyde) can cause skin irritation.Methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate and propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate can cause hypersensitivity reactions.Emulsifying cetostearyl alcohol and sorbic acid can cause localized skin irritation.Benzoic acid can cause local irritation and increase jaundice in newborns.Butylhydroxytoluene can cause localized skin irritation, irritation of the eyes and mucous membranes.

Additional information

The use of Venostasin® cream does not replace other preventive measures or treatment measures such as cold water or wearing medically prescribed support stockings.No special precautions are required when used with food and drinks.There are no studies on the ability to drive or use machines.
