Active ingredients and ingredients

Each ferro sanol dragée contains 225 mg iron (II) glycine sulfate complex, which corresponds to 40 mg iron (II) ion.In addition, the preparation contains the following excipients: sucrose, talc, calcium carbonate, corn starch, spray-dried arabic gum, povidone K25, magnesium stearate (vegetable), glucose solution, gelatin, lactose-1-water, glycerol 85%, stearic acid, macrogol 6000, montan glycol wax, highly dispersed silicon dioxide and titanium dioxide.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to iron or any of the other ingredients, have a narrowing of the esophagus, suffer from a hereditary iron storage disease (haemochromatosis), suffer from iron overload or iron utilization disorders, receive repeated or chronic blood transfusions or if you are under 6 years old and weigh less than 20 kg.

Dosage

Always take the medicine exactly as directed.Adults and children aged 6 years and over (weighing at least 20 kg) should take 1 to 2 tablets 3 times a day at the start of treatment, then 1 tablet 1 to 2 times a day.The duration of use is determined by the doctor and can last between 3 to 6 months.

Intake

Take the tablets whole with enough water.It should be taken either in the morning on an empty stomach, about 1 hour before breakfast, or about 2 hours before or after a meal.
