Mode of action

When organs, especially the heart and kidneys, are healthy, our water balance can often need a little boost to function properly again.In such cases, Biofax® classic is ideal as a herbal dehydration treatment.With its 3-plant formula made from birch leaves, hackle root and common bean pods, Biofax® classic helps the body to gently and gently stimulate water excretion through the kidneys without flushing out valuable electrolytes.An additional advantage is that less water often means less weight.

One capsule of Biofax® classic contains the following active ingredients: 15 mg dry extract from birch leaves (4-8:1), extractant: water;14 mg dry extract of hake root (6-9:1), extractant: ethanol 20% (m/m);14 mg dry extract from common bean pods (8-14:1), extractant: water.

As other ingredients, Biofax® classic contains maltodextrin, magnesium distearate, microcrystalline cellulose, calcium hydrogen phosphate-2-water, highly disperse silicon dioxide, gelatin, indigo carmine, titanium dioxide, iron (III) oxide, purified water and glucose solution.

Contraindications

Biofax® classic should not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to one of the ingredients or to birch pollen.The product must also not be used if there is organ-related water retention due to restricted heart or kidney activity or circulatory diseases.Its use is not recommended for children under 12 years of age or during pregnancy or breastfeeding as there are insufficient data.

Dosage

Unless otherwise prescribed, adults and adolescents aged 12 and over take one Biofax® classic capsule three times a day.It is taken after meals with a little liquid.The traditional duration of use is 2 to 4 weeks.Make sure you drink enough fluids during this time.

Intake

Take the capsules after meals.Swallow the capsules whole without chewing them and drink enough liquid, preferably a glass of water.Make sure you drink enough fluids throughout the entire period of use.As a general rule, do not take medicine while lying down.

If symptoms persist after one week of treatment or if side effects other than those mentioned in the instructions for use, you should consult a doctor or pharmacist.If you experience pain in the kidney area, difficulty urinating, blood in the urine or acute urinary retention, see a doctor immediately.There is insufficient information about its use in children under 12 years of age, so the product should not be used in this age group.No special precautions are required regarding the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy

The safety of Biofax® classic during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been studied.Therefore, taking the product is not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women.Use should be carefully considered in women of childbearing potential who are not using contraception.
