Sab Simplex suspension is a medicine used to treat functional gastrointestinal disorders caused by excessive accumulation of air or gas in the gastrointestinal tract. The active ingredient in Sab Simplex is simeticone, a deflating agent that dissolves excess gas in the gastrointestinal tract. The medicine is used for the symptomatic treatment of gastrointestinal symptoms such as flatulence and bloating, and to prepare for abdominal examinations such as X-rays and sonography (ultrasound) and gastroduodenoscopies (gastrointestinal endoscopies). It can also be used for increased gas formation after operations and for dishwashing poisoning. The dosage varies according to age and indication. People with hypersensitivity to the ingredients should not use the medicine. Sab Simplex should be kept out of the reach of children and used within 6 months after opening.
