Lefax Pump Liquid is a medicine used to treat excessive gas formation and gas accumulation in the gastrointestinal tract. It is also used for the symptomatic treatment of infant colic, for increased gas formation after operations and in preparation for abdominal imaging examinations. In addition, it can also be used as an emergency measure in cases of poisoning with surfactants. The dosage and application depends on the age of the patient. Infants receive 1-2 pump puffs several times a day, children from 1-6 years 2 pump puffs 3-5 times a day and children from 7-14 years 2-4 pump puffs 3-5 times a day. Adults take 4 pump puffs 3-5 times a day. The suspension can be taken undiluted or with water or tea. Lefax Pump Liquid contains the active substance simeticon. Hypersensitivity reactions such as itching, reddening of the skin and hives may occur. The medicine should not be taken if there is an allergy to simeticon or any of the other ingredients. During pregnancy and breast-feeding, women can take Lefax Pump Liquid without hesitation. No side effects have been reported for this medicine so far. It should be stored away from heat.
