Lefax® extra chewable tablets help with gas-related gastrointestinal complaints such as flatulence, flatulence pain, feeling of tension and increased gas formation after operations.They are also suitable for functional complaints of the upper gastrointestinal tract, such as a feeling of fullness, pain or pressure in the upper abdomen, belching, nausea, premature satiety and the urge to vomit.They can also be used to prepare for diagnostic examinations in the abdominal area to reduce gas shadows.

Mode of action

The active ingredient simeticone in the Lefax® extra chewable tablets has a defoaming effect.It changes the surface tension of the gas bubbles in the digestive tract, causing them to break down and the air to be excreted.Simeticon only works locally in the intestine and is not absorbed into the bloodstream.This makes the chewable tablets well tolerated and suitable for adults, young people aged 15 and over, pregnant women and breastfeeding women.

Each chewable tablet contains 105 mg simeticone as active ingredient.Excipients include bitter fennel oil, microcrystalline cellulose, glucose, glycerol distearate, hyetellosis, caraway oil, peppermint oil and sucrose.The chewable tablets contain 0.07 BE carbohydrates.

Dosage
