Area of application
This medicine is used to treat iron deficiency conditions.No prescription is required for this product.
Active ingredients and ingredients
The film-coated tablets contain iron (II) sulfate 1-water as the active ingredient in an amount of 198,322 mg, which corresponds to 65 mg of iron (II) ions.The following excipients are also included: calcium bis(octadecanoate), calcium carbonate, carboxymethyl starch, sodium salt type A, cellulose powder, cochineal red A, copovidone, cocoa butter, lactose 1 water, macrogol 4000, magnesium stearate, corn starch, maltodextrin, sodium dodecyl sulfate, Ponceau 4R, aluminum salt, povidone K25, sucrose, shellac, talc andTitanium dioxide.
Contraindications
The medicine must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to iron sulfate, Ponceau 4R or any of the other ingredients of the preparation.The preparation should also not be used in cases of anemia caused by infections or cancer and without a simultaneous iron deficiency, as well as in the case of an accumulation of iron in the blood or iron utilization disorders.
Dosage
Always take the medicine exactly as described in the instructions for use or after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.Adults usually take one film-coated tablet three times a day.Children weighing 25 kg or more take one film-coated tablet once or twice a day.The duration of use depends on the stage of iron deficiency and the type of disease.Basically, therapy for at least 8 weeks is required, followed by a further treatment of 6-8 weeks to replenish iron stores.
If you have taken more medicine than you should, please tell your doctor.Missed doses should not be compensated for by doubling the dose.If you stop taking the medication, contact your doctor or pharmacist.If you have any further questions about using the medicine, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Intake
The film-coated tablets should be taken whole in the morning on an empty stomach or one hour before meals with sufficient liquid to avoid damage to the mucous membranes.The tablet should not be sucked, chewed or held in the mouth for long periods of time.
Patient information
Before taking the medicine, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.Due to the risk of mouth ulcers and tooth discoloration, the tablets should be swallowed whole with water.Particular caution is required if there is inflammation or ulceration of the gastrointestinal mucosa or if dietary or other iron salt supplements are also taken.There are no known effects on the ability to drive or use machines.

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.Treatment should only be carried out after careful risk-benefit assessment and consultation with your doctor.This applies to both pregnancy and breastfeeding.
