Cerussit D8 is an anthroposophic medicine that is used to support the treatment of structural and shape changes in the skeleton.This includes in particular bone remodeling as a result of malignant underlying diseases as well as general and localized demineralization, such as bone metastases, reduction of bone tissue (osteoporosis) and bone softening (osteomalacia).
Areas of application
In accordance with the anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature, Cerussite D8 is used to support treatment of structural and shape changes in the skeleton.This includes in particular bone remodeling as a result of malignant underlying diseases as well as general and localized demineralization, such as bone metastases, reduction of bone tissue (osteoporosis) and bone softening (osteomalacia).
Active ingredients and composition
Cerussit D8, liquid dilution for injection contains the active ingredient Cerussit Dil.D8.In addition, the liquid dilution for injection D8 contains sodium chloride as an additional ingredient.The liquid dilution for injection D20 is isotonized with sodium chloride.
Application and dosage
Cerussit should always be used exactly as your doctor has told you.The usual dose is 1 ml subcutaneously twice a week to once a day.The injection is usually carried out in the thigh, the outside of the upper arm or the abdominal region.The duration of treatment for chronic illnesses should be agreed with your doctor.If an application is forgotten, a double dose should not be used.
Side effects
Cerussit D8 can cause allergic reactions because it contains lactose, which contains small amounts of milk protein.There are no known side effects for Cerussit D20.If side effects occur, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted.
Contraindications and precautions
Cerussit D8 must not be used if there is hypersensitivity to milk protein.There are no known contraindications for Cerussit D20.It should not be used without medical advice and does not replace other medicines prescribed by a doctor.Cerussit liquid dilutions for injection should not be used in children under 12 years of age as there is no adequately documented experience.During pregnancy and breastfeeding, Cerussit should only be used after consulting a doctor.

To date, there are no known interactions with other medicines.However, the doctor or pharmacist should be informed if other medicines are used.
