Mode of action

The ingredients in Pascoventral work in different ways:

Peppermint leaf extract affects the smooth muscles of the digestive tract.It has an antispasmodic, anti-flatulent effect and promotes the production of bile, which supports fat digestion.

The chamomile extract inhibits inflammation of the gastrointestinal mucous membranes, protects them and also has an antispasmodic effect.

The caraway fruit extract soothes the stomach, has an antispasmodic effect and increases gastric juice secretion.

Pascoventral contains the following active ingredients:

1 g (corresponding to 1.03 ml or 42 drops) contains:

Fluid extract from peppermint leaves (1:2), extractant: ethanol 37% (m/m) 330 mg, fluid extract from chamomile flowers (1:1-2), extractant: ammonia solution 10% (m/m), water, ethanol 94% (m/m), (5:95:200) 330 mg, fluid extract from caraway fruits (1:2), extractant ethanol 43%(m/m) 340 mg.

This medicine contains 681.3 mg alcohol (ethanol) per 80 drops, which corresponds to 44% alcohol by volume.The amount in 80 drops is equivalent to less than 18ml of beer or 7ml of wine.

Contraindications

Pascoventral should not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned.

Dosage

The recommended dosage for adults and adolescents aged 12 and over is 80 drops (2 ml) 3 times daily after or between meals in a little lukewarm liquid.
