Zinc Verla OTC 20 mg is a mineral preparation used for the treatment of proven zinc deficiency and for therapy with penicillamine and other complexing agents. The dosage is 1 film-coated tablet daily, preferably with sufficient liquid about 1 hour before meals. The duration of intake depends on the need and the success of the treatment. The preparation must not be taken in cases of hypersensitivity to zinc D-gluconate or any of the other ingredients. It is safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Side effects such as nausea or vomiting rarely occur. Interactions with other medicines are possible, so consult your doctor or pharmacist beforehand.
