Tannosynt® Lotio is a medicine that is used to treat acute inflammatory, weeping and itchy skin diseases.The active ingredient phenol-methanal-urea polycondensate, sulfonated, sodium salt, has an astringent effect and helps to solidify the top layer of skin.This supports the skin's natural protective barrier and promotes healing.The product is particularly suitable for skin inflammation in skin folds, diaper rash in infants and young children and itchy skin rashes such as chickenpox.It can also be used for increased sweating (hyperhidrosis).

No prescription is required for this product.

In addition to the active ingredient, Tannosynt® Lotio also contains deoiled phospholipids from soybeans and methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate.It should not be applied to the hairy scalp as it can cause the hair to stick together on wet areas of the skin.In addition, the product must not get into the eyes.

Area of application

Tannosynt® Lotio is used for acutely inflammatory, weeping and itchy skin as well as for itchy rashes and increased sweating.In addition to the synthetic tanning agent Tamol, the lotion also contains zinc oxide and talc, which support the drying effect.This combination accelerates the healing of sore skin and strengthens the skin barrier.Zinc stimulates the regeneration of skin cells and has an anti-inflammatory effect.The lotio can be easily spread on sensitive and irritated skin, provides a cooling effect and relieves itching.It forms a whitish, protective film over the affected area of skin, which dries quickly and dries up the wound secretions.

Tannosynt® Lotio is particularly suitable for skin inflammations such as diaper rash, skin rash (intertrigo) and sores in small skin folds.The lotion can also keep the skin dry in cases of chickenpox, shingles, cold sores, insect bites, sunburn and increased sweating.

Mode of action

The active ingredient Tamol in Tannosynt® Lotio is a synthetic tannin that is based on nature.It has a contracting effect and strengthens the top layer of skin, strengthening the skin's natural protective barrier.This protective film covers the affected areas of skin and stops the weeping.This means that the skin reacts less sensitively to stimuli, the itching is relieved and germs cannot establish themselves.The sore skin can heal faster under the protective film.

100g Tannosynt® Lotio contains 1g phenol-methanol-urea polycondensate, sulfonated, sodium salt (synthetic tannin).Other ingredients are deoiled phospholipids from soybeans and methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (Ph.Eur.).

Contraindications

Tannosynt® Lotio must not be used if you are hypersensitive to the active ingredient, soy, peanut, parahydroxybenzoates and their esters (parabens) or any of the ingredients.In addition, the medicine should not be used on the eyes.

There are no concerns about the local use of Tannosynt® Lotio during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to its lack of absorption capacity.However, there is no clinical experience with this.

Dosage

Before use, the bottle should be shaken well so that the zinc oxide is evenly distributed.Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, Tannosynt® Lotio is applied thinly to the affected skin areas once or twice a day with your finger or a cotton ball.Smaller areas of skin can be dabbed or brushed with a cotton swab.Make sure that the suspension does not come into contact with the eyes and always keep the medicine out of the reach of children.Tannosynt® Lotio is not suitable for hairy scalps.

It should be used until healing occurs, usually for 1-2 weeks.

Intake

Before use, shake the bottle vigorously and apply the lotion thinly to the affected skin areas.Do not use the lotion on the hairy scalp.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the product.Due to the eye-irritating effect of the synthetic tannin, eye contact should be avoided by taking appropriate precautions when using the lotion.In the event of eye contact, immediately rinse your eyes under running water for approx. 10 minutes and then consult an ophthalmologist.

Do not apply the lotion to the hairy scalp, as it can cause the hair to stick together on wet areas of the skin.Make sure the lotio stays out of the reach of children. Keep the lotio tightly closed and out of the reach and sight of children.

No special precautions are required regarding the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.The medicine can also be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Notes

DIAPER DERMATITIS: An inflammatory rash can easily occur in the diaper area of babies, usually with redness, blisters and pustules.To keep irritated skin dry, diapers should be avoided as often as possible.Using Tannosynt® Lotio can quickly relieve itching and inflammation and promote healing.

CHICKEN POX: The contagious infectious disease occurs primarily in children and is accompanied by a violently itchy skin rash.Apply Tannosynt® Lotio gently to the chickenpox blisters with a cotton swab.This relieves the itching and thanks to the zinc shake mixture as a basis, the weeping blisters dry.

COLD HERPES: Herpes labialis is associated with weeping and painful blisters around the mouth, the skin feels tight and itches.Using Tannosynt® Lotio helps to reduce itching and redness and causes the contagious herpes blisters to dry out quickly.
