China-Oel® has been a traditional medicine in numerous German households for more than 60 years.Peppermint essential oil is a true all-rounder as it has a digestive, antispasmodic, pain-relieving and antibacterial effect.It is used to relieve coughs, colds, hoarseness, muscle and back pain and digestive problems.Depending on the symptoms, China-Oel® can be inhaled, taken or applied externally.

Mode of action

The versatile use of China-Oel® is due to the diverse effects of pure peppermint oil.When taken, it has an antispasmodic effect on spasms in the gastrointestinal tract, as well as being a flatulent and astringent.Taking it also stimulates the secretion of digestive juices, such as gastric juice and bile.

Rubbing the skin with China-Oel® addresses the cold receptors present there.By passing on the induced cold stimulus, pain conduction is blocked, which leads to relaxation of the muscles.In addition, blood circulation in the skin is promoted, which causes deep warming of the treated areas.

When used as an inhalant, China-Oel® has a secretolytic effect.Stuck cough and mucus are loosened and can be secreted.Peppermint oil also has an antimicrobial effect.

100 ml of China-Oel® contains 100 ml of peppermint oil as a medicinally active ingredient.China-Oel® is purely plant-based and contains no alcohol.

Application

The recommended dose is:

External use (only for adults aged 18 and over)

For coughs and colds: massage 2 - 3 drops onto your chest or back up to 3 times a day.Do not use for longer than 2 weeks!

For muscle pain: massage 2 - 3 drops into the affected area up to 3 times a day.It is recommended not to use the medicine for longer than 2 - 4 weeks.

Inhalation (for young people aged 12 and over and adults)

Adolescents aged 12 and over and adults add 3 - 4 drops 2 to 3 times a day to hot water and inhale with eyes closed.The medicine can also be inhaled using an inhaler pen without adding water.The pack sizes of 25 ml and 100 ml contain a corresponding inhaler pen, which makes controlled inhalation easier.Do not use for longer than 2 weeks!

Internal use (only for adults aged 18 and over)

Adults take 3 - 4 drops (0.08 - 0.12 ml) 2 to 3 times daily in warm water.Do not use for longer than 2 weeks!

China-Oel® must not be used if you are allergic to peppermint oil and/or menthol, in children under 12 years of age (inhalation use) and in children and adolescents under 18 years of age (external and internal use), as well as if you suffer from liver disease, lack of stomach acid, gall inflammation, gallstones or other bile problems.

How do I inhale correctly?

1. Heat 1-2 liters of water and pour it into a sturdy container (a bowl or a pot).

2. When the temperature of the water is around 80°C, add 3-4 drops of China-Oel®.Note: Water from the kettle cools down to 80 °C in approx. 8-10 minutes.

3. Lean over the bowl (careful: do not immerse yourself!) and spread a towel over your head so that the steam does not escape to the side.Breathe normally through your mouth and nose.Do not inhale for longer than 10 minutes.

Tip: Use the practical China-Oel® inhaler (medical product) when you are in the office, traveling or on the go or when you want to inhale without water.

What is the best way to store China-Oel®?

China-Oel® should be stored out of the reach of children, protected from light and not above 25 °C.In the original packaging, the contents are protected from light.

When should I not use China-Oel®?

China-Oel® for internal and external use is only indicated for adults over 18 years of age; inhalation is also indicated for young people over 12 years of age.You should not take peppermint oil (internal use) if you are allergic to peppermint oil and/or menthol or if you suffer from liver disease, stomach acid deficiency, gall inflammation, gallstones or other bile problems.
