Instructions for use of Combudoron ointment

Combudoron ointment is an anthroposophic medicine that is used to treat burns.It is not intended for the acute phase of burns and scalds, but can be used as soon as thin skin forms on the burn injury.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

Combudoron ointment is used for the after-treatment of burns in accordance with anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature.The ointment supports complete healing and protects the newly forming and still tender skin.It can be used until the skin has completely healed.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The active ingredients in Combudoron ointment are ethanol, extract from Arnica montana and Urtica urens.The other ingredients include refined sesame oil, lanolin, yellow wax, lanolin alcohols, ethanol 96% and purified water.

Dosage and application

Unless otherwise prescribed, Combudoron ointment should be applied to the affected area of skin 1 to 3 times daily.The amount should correspond to the size of the affected skin area and should be applied thickly.The duration of use depends on the type of symptoms and/or the course of the disease and should be continued until the skin has completely healed.

Contraindications

Combudoron ointment must not be used if you are hypersensitive to the ingredients, on weeping and festering wounds, on open wounds and eczema.Contact of the ointment with eyes and mucous membranes should be avoided.Combudoron preparations should not be used if you are hypersensitive to arnica.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Combudoron ointment can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.Common side effects from long-term use include skin inflammation with tissue swelling and blistering.Rare side effects include primarily toxic skin reactions with blistering and even tissue destruction.Sesame oil can rarely cause severe allergic reactions.

Important notes

Combudoron ointment contains sesame oil, wool wax and butylated hydroxytoluene.Wool wax and wool wax alcohols can trigger localized skin reactions.Butylhydroxytoluene can cause localized skin irritation, irritation of the eyes and mucous membranes.The medicine must be stored away from heat and must not be used after the expiry date stated on the tube and carton.
