Instructions for use for Verrucid solution, 10 ml
Area of application
The product removes calluses and is suitable for treating corns, warts and calluses.The solution is applied to the affected skin areas and forms a white, elastic film.The active ingredients contained then develop their detaching effect.
Mode of action
The main active ingredient, salicylic acid, has a bacteria-killing effect and promotes the detachment of calluses.Castor oil serves as a binding agent in the solution.

The solution contains 100 mg of salicylic acid per 100 mg.Other ingredients include acetone, docusate sodium, acetic acid 99%, ethanol 96% (V/V), isobutyl acetate, pyroxylin and virgin castor oil.
Contraindications
The preparation must not be used if you are hypersensitive to salicylic acid, salicylates or other components of the drug.It should not be used in infants and patients with renal insufficiency.In addition, it must not come into contact with mucous membranes; the eyes in particular must be protected.
Dosage
The medicine should always be used exactly as directed.The usual dose is twice daily on the affected skin areas.The solution is applied to warts, corns and calluses and used daily.Before each new application, the existing pyroxylin film should be removed.The preparation only works externally and must not be taken.Be careful not to get the solution on healthy skin.
After successful therapy, treatment should be continued for another week.The average duration of use is six weeks.In children, the maximum daily dose of 1 ml of solution should not be exceeded and the total duration of use should be limited to a maximum of six weeks.
If you use more than intended, rinse off the excess medicine immediately with warm water.If you forget to use it, do not apply a double dose, but continue treatment as planned.If the drug is stopped prematurely, the keratinization disorder may persist.

Patient information
Particular caution is required when using near inflammation and wounds.If eyes and mucous membranes have come into contact with the medicine, rinse them with water.The preparation must not be used on the face or genital area.Warts are transferable, so you should not share your towel with others or walk barefoot if you have foot warts.
The application does not affect the ability to drive or use machines.
Pregnancy
Before using any medicines, always ask your doctor or pharmacy for advice.The medicine should not be used during pregnancy, except on an area smaller than 5 cm².It should also not be used on the breast of nursing mothers.If large areas of skin are regularly treated, breastfeeding should be stopped early, as risks due to a lack of detoxification in newborns cannot be ruled out.
Notes
During the treatment period, soap baths make it easier to remove softened stratum corneum.Warts are transferable, so you should not share your towel with others to prevent the spread of infection.
