Valerian tincture Hetterich is a herbal medicine that is used to calm and relieve restlessness and nervous-related problems falling asleep.The active ingredient of this product is a tincture of valerian root.No prescription is required for this product.

Ingredients

The tincture consists of valerian root, with 100 grams of the tincture containing 100 grams of tincture of valerian root (1:5 ratio of drug to extractant).Ethanol 70% (v/v) is used as an extractant.The tincture is a dark brown liquid with a characteristic odor and is available in quantities of 50 ml, 100 ml or 200 ml.

Application and dosage

Adults can take half a teaspoon (approx. 1.5 ml) of the tincture 2 to 3 times a day to calm them down.If you have trouble sleeping, it is recommended to take a teaspoon full (approx. 3 ml) of the tincture, diluted with a little water, half an hour before going to bed.Children aged 12 and over take half the adult dose.The tincture should always be taken as directed.If it is not effective enough for sleep disorders, an additional teaspoon can be taken before dinner.

Special Notes

Valerian tincture Hetterich contains 66% alcohol by volume.Each intake contains up to 1.2 grams of alcohol.This can pose a health risk, particularly for people with liver disease, alcoholics, epileptics, brain disease or brain damage, as well as for pregnant women and children.The effect of other medicines may be impaired or increased.If taken, the ability to react may be impaired, which may affect the ability to actively drive or operate machines.This applies to an even greater extent when combined with alcohol.

Storage

Keep the medicine out of the reach and reach of children and do not use it after the expiry date stated on the label or carton.Keep the tincture tightly closed and away from light.
