Contractubex Gel is a scar specific product that is applied after wound closure. It has an anti-growth, anti-inflammatory, loosening and smoothing effect on the scar tissue. The gel is used in patients with movement-restricting, hypertrophic, keloid-shaped and visually disturbing scars after operations, amputations, burns and accidents. It can also be used for joint stiffness, traumatic tendon contractures and atrophic scars. The preparation contains Extr. Cepae, heparin sodium and allantoin. It must not be used if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. Dosage and application are as directed by the doctor or pharmacist. It is recommended to gently massage the gel into the scar tissue several times a day. The treatment may take several weeks to months, depending on the extent and thickness of the scar. For fresh scars, extreme cold, UV-light and strong massaging should be avoided. Before use, you should read the package leaflet and consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have any further questions.
