Directions for use for Additiva Vitamin C Lemon Flavoured: - Additiva Vitamin C Lemon Effervescent Tablets are used to treat vitamin C deficiency diseases. The recommended dose is 1 effervescent tablet (equivalent to 1000 mg vitamin C) 1 time daily until symptoms subside. Children and adolescents under 18 years of age should not use this product as it is not intended for them. - The effervescent tablets are dissolved in a glass of drinking water and drunk completely. Make sure that no residue remains in the glass. Therapy with Additiva Vitamin C Lemon should be continued until the symptoms disappear. - In case of overdose, haemolysis (dissolution of red blood cells) and kidney stones may occur. In case of pain in the kidney area or difficult urination after a high dose, consult a doctor immediately. Taking 3 g of vitamin C may temporarily cause diarrhoea, in which case the intake should be interrupted. - Additiva Vitamin C Lemon should be kept out of the reach of children. The product can be used for 6 months after opening. It should be stored away from moisture and light at a temperature below 30°C. - Allergic hypersensitivity of the respiratory tract and skin reactions may occur during use. In the event of any disturbances or changes during treatment, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. - The medicinal product contains 1000 mg ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and other excipients such as citric acid, sorbitol, lemon flavouring and sodium hydrogen carbonate. - It is recommended to discuss other medicines already being taken with the doctor or pharmacist before use to avoid possible interactions. - The product should not be used in cases of known hypersensitivity to ascorbic acid, cyclamate or saccharin. It should also not be taken in cases of oxalate urolithiasis or iron storage disorders. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the stated dosage should not be exceeded. - Additiva Vitamin C Lemon is a water-soluble vitamin that strengthens the immune system, neutralises free radicals, accelerates blood clotting and promotes the absorption of iron from the intestine. - It should be noted that caution is advised in case of known allergy to ascorbic acid or the sweetener cyclamate. The product should also not be used in cases of intolerance to fructose and certain metabolic or renal diseases. - The medicinal product should be stored away from heat, moisture and light, both before and after opening.
