Application

Active ingredient: 23.6 mg nicotine (1.75 mg/cm²).Average drug release: 15 mg/16 hours.

Other ingredients: Medium chain triglycerides, basic butyl methacrylate copolymer (Ph.Eur.), poly[acrylsäure-co-butylacrylat-co-(2-ethylhexyl)acrylat-co-vinyl-acetat] (5:15:75:5), potassium hydroxide, croscarmellose sodium, aluminum tris (acetylacetonate), poly (ethylene terephthalate) film.

Contraindications

The nicorette® Transdermal Patch 15 mg must not be used if you are a non-smoker, smoke occasionally and smoke one cigarette per day or less often, or if you are allergic to nicotine.

Dosage

Recommended use of nicorette® TX patch with 15 mg nicotine: 1 patch per day.

The use of the nicotine patches is limited to one piece per day and should be carried out over 12 weeks.Smoking is not permitted during use.

Intake

Before using the patch, you should wash your hands.Every morning, immediately after getting up, a patch is applied to a clean, dry, hairless and undamaged area of skin on the upper body, upper arm or hip after removing the protective film.To do this, press the patch firmly against the skin for 10 - 15 seconds.Afterwards, you should wash your hands thoroughly so that any nicotine stuck to your fingers does not accidentally get into your eyes.

The maximum nicotine level in the blood is reached in the afternoon (approx. 9 hours after the patch was applied).The plaster is removed in the evening before going to bed.The next morning, apply a fresh patch to another area of skin.The same area of skin should only be covered again after a few days.

Notes

Smoking should be avoided while using the nicotine patches.
