Active ingredients and ingredients

1 transdermal patch from nicorette® TX patch with 25 mg nicotine contains:

Active ingredient: 39.4 mg nicotine (1.75 mg/cm²).Average drug release: 25 mg/16 hours.

Other ingredients: Medium chain triglycerides, basic butyl methacrylate copolymer (Ph.Eur.), poly[acrylsäure-co-butylacrylat-co-(2-ethylhexyl)acrylat-co-vinyl-acetat] (5:15:75:5), potassium hydroxide, croscarmellose sodium, aluminum tris (acetylacetonate), poly (ethylene terephthalate) film.

Application

Apply one patch daily in the morning immediately after getting up after removing the protective film to a dry, clean, hair-free and insensitive area of skin on the upper arm, upper body or hip.To do this, press the nicotine patch firmly onto the skin for 10 to 15 seconds.

Dosage

Recommended use of nicorette® TX patch with 25 mg nicotine: 1 patch per day.

The nicorette® TX patch 25 mg releases its therapeutic nicotine into the blood through the skin for 16 hours.There is no need to use a patch while sleeping, otherwise you would not smoke a cigarette at night.This supports the natural wake-sleep rhythm.All you have to do is stick a new plaster on your skin after getting up.To apply the nicotine patch, the skin should be dry and largely hair-free.Suitable parts of the body are the upper arm, hip or upper body, whereby the adhesive area should be changed daily.The patches may remain on the skin while showering.The nicotine patches should be removed before going to the sauna or swimming.

Contraindications

nicorette® TX patch 25 mg must not be used if you are a non-smoker, if you smoke occasionally and smoke one cigarette per day or less often, or if you are allergic to nicotine.
