Area of application
The tablets are a sleeping pill that belongs to the group of antihistamines.They are used for the short-term treatment of sleep disorders.Sedatives and sleeping pills should only be used for sleep disorders of clinically significant severity.
Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients
Each tablet contains 50 mg of diphenhydramine hydrochloride as the active ingredient.The following excipients are also included: 43.75 mg diphenhydramine, microcrystalline cellulose, crospovidone, hypromellose, magnesium stearate (vegetable), and highly dispersed silicon dioxide.
Contraindications
The medicine must not be taken if you are allergic to diphenhydramine hydrochloride, other antihistamines or any of the other ingredients.It is also not applicable for acute asthma, glaucoma, certain tumors of the adrenal medulla, enlargement of the prostate gland with residual urine formation, epilepsy, potassium or magnesium deficiency, slow heartbeat, certain heart diseases, simultaneous use of drugs that prolong the QT-interval or lead to hypokalemia, simultaneous intake of alcohol or MAO-inhibitors, during pregnancy or breastfeeding and in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
Dosage
Adults should take one tablet (50 mg diphenhydramine hydrochloride) in the evening 30 minutes before bedtime.The duration of treatment should be as short as possible and generally only a few days without exceeding 2 weeks.Patients with impaired liver or kidney function, elderly or debilitated patients should receive lower doses if necessary.Children and adolescents under the age of 18 must not take the tablets.

In the event of an overdose, you should inform a doctor immediately, as overdoses can be dangerous, especially for children and young children.Symptoms may include disorders of the central nervous system and cardiovascular system.If you forget to take a dose, do not take a double dose.If you have any further questions, please contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Intake
The tablets are taken in the evening with a little liquid 30 minutes before going to bed.Adequate sleep duration of 7 to 8 hours should then be ensured.
Patient information
Particular caution is required when taking it if you suffer from impaired liver function, chronic lung diseases or certain stomach dysfunctions.Loss of effectiveness may occur after repeated use.Taking it can lead to physical and psychological dependence, especially at higher doses and longer durations of treatment.When stopping treatment, the dose should be reduced gradually.Children and adolescents must not take the tablets.
After ingestion, you must not drive vehicles or operate dangerous machines.Even the following day, residual tiredness and impaired ability to react can affect the ability to drive or work with machines, especially after insufficient sleep.
Pregnancy
The tablets must not be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding.If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
