Bolfo® tick and flea protection spray is a product for combating fleas and ticks on dogs and cats.The active ingredient (2-isopropoxyphenyl)(methyl carbamate) is effective against fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.) and ticks (Ixodes ricinus).No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredient and other ingredients

100 g of the spray contains 0.25 g of the active ingredient (2-isopropoxyphenyl)(methyl carbamate).Other ingredients include 2-propanol, anhydrous citric acid, propane and butane.

Areas of application

The spray is used to combat fleas and ticks on dogs and cats.It kills the parasites immediately.In the event of a tick infestation, the dead ticks should be removed manually.If you have a flea infestation, it is important to treat all animals in the household and the surrounding area.

Contraindications

The spray should not be used on sick or convalescent animals, lactating animals, heavily pregnant animals, puppies under 3 months of age, animals with extensive skin lesions or animals used for food production.

So far there are no known side effects.If you observe any side effects that are not listed in the package leaflet, please inform your veterinarian or pharmacist.

Application

The spray is sprayed onto the animal's fur against the hairline until the fur is slightly moistened.Be careful not to spray into eyes or nose.In case of accidental contact with eyes, rinse them immediately.The spray has no particular long-term effect, so the animals' surroundings should also be treated to avoid new infestations.

Special precautions

The spray is for external use only and must not be taken internally.Keep it away from sources of ignition and do not spray it on open flames or hot objects.Avoid contact with eyes and skin.Wear protective gloves and protect your eyes and face during application.Sensitive people should avoid contact with the spray.

Storage

The container is under pressure.Store the spray protected from sunlight and not above 30°C.Do not store it in the refrigerator or allow it to freeze.Keep the medicine out of the reach of children and do not use it after the expiry date.

Disposal

Unused veterinary medicines should preferably be disposed of at pollutant collection points.Avoid contaminating surface water with the spray.
