Area of application

CORDES BPO is an anti-acne medicine that is applied to the skin.It contains the active ingredient benzoyl peroxide and is particularly effective for endogenous acne caused by the body's own metabolism.Scientific studies have proven the effectiveness of CORDES BPO .Regular use can lead to a visible improvement in the skin after just a few weeks.

CORDES BPO works in two ways: It loosens the top layer of calluses in the affected skin areas and removes calluses so that pores remain free and excess sebum and pus can drain away.It also removes the breeding ground for acne bacteria, prevents inflammation and promotes the healing of pimples.In contrast to antibiotics, the use of benzoyl peroxide does not lead to resistance.

Potencies

CORDES BPO is available in three different strengths:

CORDES BPO 3%: Suitable for sensitive facial skin that quickly becomes irritated and red.Ideal for blackheads and pimples on the face.

CORDES BPO 5%: The top seller for normal skin or when the 3% formula is not enough.Also suitable for blackheads and pimples on the face.

CORDES BPO 10%: The strongest formula for insensitive skin when lower concentrations do not produce the desired effect.Also suitable for pimples on the chest or back.

Mode of action

CORDES BPO effectively combats pimples and blackheads and inhibits the formation of new pimples and pustules.It has an antibacterial and peeling effect.No prescription is required for this product.

100 mg benzoyl peroxide, carbomer, sodium hydroxide, 100 mg propylene glycol, water, purified.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are hypersensitive to benzoyl peroxide or any of the other ingredients of the preparation.

Dosage

Always use the product exactly as directed.Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.The usual dose is once or twice daily on the skin.Depending on skin sensitivity, the frequency of application can be adjusted.The average treatment duration is 4 to 10 weeks.

If you use more of the product than you should, this may result in excessive drying and increased peeling of the skin.In these cases, stop using the product and, if necessary, consult a doctor.If you accidentally take the product, it can cause discomfort in the esophagus and stomach.See a doctor.

If you forget to use the product, continue treatment according to the dosage instructions provided.If you stop treatment with the product, no special measures are required.

Intake

The preparation is intended exclusively for use on the skin.Clean the skin thoroughly before using the product.After drying, apply the gel thinly to the affected skin areas.

Patient information

Particular caution is required when using the preparation in patients with atopic eczema (neurodermatitis) who suffer from dry and oily skin.Avoid the product coming into contact with the eyes.Accidental contact with eyes causes redness and burning.The eye should then be rinsed with running water.

Do not apply the product to mucous membranes or in the corners of the mouth, nose and eyes.Do not use the product on broken skin.During therapy with the preparation, avoid intensive UV-irradiation (sunlight/solariums) of the treated parts of the body.

Because of its bleaching effect, the preparation should not be used on the eyebrows, in the beard area or on the forehead hairline and must not come into contact with colored textiles.

No special precautions are required regarding the ability to drive or use machines.

Pregnancy

Before taking/using any medicines, ask your doctor or pharmacy for advice.The preparation should only be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding after careful consultation with a doctor.The product should not be used in the last month of pregnancy.It is not known whether benzoyl peroxide passes into breast milk after topical use.

Notes

Only use the medication if there are no skin irritations or other intolerances to weaker forms of this medication. If weaker preparations of this medication do not bring about healing success, this more concentrated preparation should be used.Because of the bleaching effect, do not use it on the eyebrows, beard area or forehead hairline, nor should it come into contact with colored textiles.

Initially, there may be mild skin irritation such as redness, itching, tightness, burning, drying and moderate peeling.If these symptoms persist for more than 5 days or worsen, the medication should be discontinued and the doctor should be consulted.
