Description

This combination product is a medication used to treat fungal infections in the vaginal area.The active ingredient clotrimazole inhibits the growth and reproduction of various types of fungi, including budding fungi such as yeast, as well as certain bacteria.

Areas of application

The medication is used for the following complaints: infectious discharge caused by yeast fungi, as well as inflammation of the vagina and labia, which are usually caused by yeast fungi of the genus Candida.It can also be used for overlapping infections with clotrimazole-sensitive bacteria.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The vaginal tablets contain 200 mg clotrimazole and the following excipients: adipic acid, copovidone, lactose 1-water, magnesium stearate, corn starch, sodium hydrogen carbonate, polysorbate 80 and highly disperse silicon dioxide.The cream contains 10 mg clotrimazole as well as the excipients (RS)-2-octyldodecan-1-ol, cetyl palmitate, cetostearyl alcohol, polysorbate 60, sorbitan stearate, purified water and benzyl alcohol.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are allergic to clotrimazole or any of the other ingredients of the medication.

Dosage and application

The recommended dosage for the vaginal tablets is one tablet per evening for three consecutive days.The cream should be applied thinly to the affected skin areas 2-3 times a day and rubbed in.The general duration of therapy for the cream is 1-2 weeks.No prescription is required for this product.

Intake and application instructions

The vaginal tablets can be used with or without an applicator.Wash your hands before and after use.The applicator should be disposed of after use, but not in the toilet.Treatment should not be carried out during menstruation.If the vagina is dry, the vaginal tablet may not dissolve completely.In this case, treatment with the vaginal cream should be continued.

Patient information

Particular caution is required if you have fever, abdominal pain, back pain, foul-smelling vaginal discharge, nausea, vaginal bleeding and/or shoulder pain.In these cases, consult a doctor.The medication has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines.
