Instructions for use for Diclofenac-ratiopharm pain patches, 10 pieces

Diclofenac ratiopharm pain patches

Diclofenac-ratiopharm pain patches are specially designed for the local short-term treatment of pain. They provide effective help for acute pain caused by sports injuries or unfortunate movements, such as strains, sprains or bruises on the arms, legs or back.

Local effect with many benefits

A big advantage of the Diclofenac ratiopharm pain patches is their targeted effect directly at the location of the pain. The active ingredient is applied exactly where the pain arises.Compared to painkillers, the risk of side effects and interactions is reduced. After sticking, the pain-relieving effect lasts for up to 12 hours, so you can go about your everyday life again without any symptoms.

It is easy to use: a Diclofenac ratiopharm pain patch is only stuck to the painful area twice a day, in the morning and evening. The plaster is flexible and offers a lot of freedom of movement and comfort in everyday life.It can be worn discreetly under clothing and is suitable for adults and teenagers aged 16 and over.

Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients

1 medicated plaster contains 140 mg diclofenac sodium.Other ingredients include sodium salt, aluminum potassium sulfate 12-water, butylhydroxytoluene, carmellose sodium salt, diisopropyl adipate, disodium edetat 2-water, disodium sulfite, Eudragit E 100, glycerol, kaolin, light, levomenthol, polidocanol, polyacrylic acid sodium salt, polyester support fabric, unwoven, polypropylene film, propylene glycol, silicondioxide, highly disperse, sorbitol solution 70%, crystallizing, water, purified and tartaric acid.

Contraindications

This medicine must not be used if you are allergic to diclofenac or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. The patch must also not be used if you are allergic to other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAR) such as acetylsalicylic acid or ibuprofen. The same applies if asthma, hives or swelling of the skin or mucous membranes have occurred after taking acetylsalicylic acid or another NSAR .The patch must not be used if you have an active stomach or duodenal ulcer. Its use is also not permitted in the last three months of pregnancy or in children and adolescents under 16 years of age.In addition, the patch must not be used on injured skin, infected skin or skin with exudative dermatitis or eczema.

Dosage

Always use the medicine exactly as described or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. The recommended dose is a medicated plaster applied to the painful area twice daily, morning and evening. The maximum daily dose is two medicated plasters, even if more than one injured area needs to be treated.Treat only one painful area at a time.

The medicine must not be used for longer than seven days.If symptoms worsen or persist for more than three days, you should seek medical attention. If you have the impression that the effect of diclofenac is too strong or too weak, please contact your doctor or pharmacist.

If significant side effects occur after proper use or after an accidental overdose, please inform your doctor.Do not use a double dose if you have forgotten the previous application.

Intake

The patch is intended for use on the skin only.Cut open the bag with the medicated plasters along the marking and take out one plaster.Close the bag carefully again.Peel off the protective film from the adhesive surface of the plaster and stick it to the painful area.Only use the patch on intact, healthy skin.If necessary, the plaster can be fixed using an elastic mesh bandage.Do not use the patch with an airtight bandage.Do not wear the patch while bathing or showering.Do not split the patch and fold used patches in half with the adhesive layer facing inward.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the pain patches if you suffer from or have suffered from bronchial asthma or allergies in the past. You may experience spasm of the bronchial muscles, making it difficult to breathe. If you notice a skin rash that occurs after applying the patch, remove the patch immediately and stop treatment. If you have kidney, heart or liver dysfunction or stomach or intestinal ulcers, intestinal inflammation or bleeding tendencies, you should also consult before use.

Side effects can be reduced by using the lowest dosage for the shortest possible period of time. After removing the patch, avoid exposing the treated area to direct sunlight or UV-radiation to reduce the risk of a photosensitivity reaction.Do not use the pain patches at the same time as other medicines containing diclofenac or other medicines from the group of non-steroidal painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs.

Elderly patients should use the medicine with caution as they are more prone to side effects. The pain patch must not be used on children and adolescents under the age of 16, as there is insufficient experience for this age group.

The medicine has no or negligible influence on your ability to drive and use machines.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.Do not use diclofenac if you are in the last three months of pregnancy.During the first six months of pregnancy, you should only use this medicine if it is absolutely necessary and your doctor has recommended it.Oral forms of diclofenac may cause side effects in your unborn child. It is not known whether this medicine presents the same risk when used on the skin.

Small amounts of diclofenac pass into breast milk.Since there are no known undesirable effects on the infant, breastfeeding generally does not need to be interrupted during short-term use. However, the medicine should not be applied directly to the chest area.

Notes

No prescription is required for this product. For information about risks and side effects, read the package leaflet and ask your doctor or pharmacy.

I agree with the previous speaker: The pain plaster helps very well with back pain, even sometimes for my tension neck pain, but you really have to stick it to the sides with plasters or tape because it comes off at the edges when you move. But then it holds very well. I used to cut it in half for my aching shoulders, but the effect wasn't as good, as it was only half the amount of active ingredient, so to speak. In any case, I now always have several plasters in the house because I'm always in pain somewhere (fibromyalgia) and because I sometimes bump or bruise myself. And I always have a pack with me on holiday. It's also important to mention that, strangely enough, the plasters from this brand help me and the plasters with the red packaging don't. Even though they contain the same active ingredient, they're not as effective. Although they contain the same active ingredient. (Maybe it's the menthol, which is still included here?!)

I use the plaster on my back and neck. It works well and is very soft and supple. Unfortunately, you have to fix it to the sides with a bit of sports tape or something similar if you move around a lot. One advantage of the plaster is that you can cut it to size or cut it in half. It helps me a lot and I am therefore satisfied.
