Area of application

This medicinal rheumatic bath promotes blood circulation and is used to support the treatment of rheumatic diseases.It also helps in temporarily increasing peripheral blood flow and first-degree frostbite injuries, such as chilblains.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The preparation contains 5 mg of benzyl nicotinate as the active ingredient.The following excipients are also included: quinoline yellow, spruce needle oil, isopropyl alcohol, patent blue V, polysorbate 20 and polysorbate 80.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are allergic to benzyl nicotinate or any of the other ingredients.Its use is also not suitable for severe heart, liver and kidney diseases, inflammatory skin diseases, open wounds, arterial vascular occlusions in the limbs and severe diabetic microangiopathies.The product is not intended for infants and small children up to the age of three.

Dosage

The usual dose is about 5 ml of the preparation in 1 liter of water for hand baths, arm baths, foot baths and lower leg baths.For compresses, use about 10 ml per 1 liter of water.As a rule, one bath is taken per day.A measuring cup is included.

It can be used for as long as symptoms persist or as recommended by your doctor.If the effect is too strong or too weak, you should talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

In the event of an overdose, severe skin redness and burning can occur, which disappear after a while.Rinsing multiple times with clean water is recommended.Accidental ingestion of large amounts may cause nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.Vomiting should not be induced to avoid the risk of pneumonia.The alcohol content can cause life-threatening poisoning in children.In such cases, a doctor should be consulted.

If you forget to use it, do not add any additional concentrate, but use the amount described the next time you use it.Make up for any missed applications as soon as possible and then continue using them.

Application

For partial baths, fill an appropriate container with water.The bathing temperature should be between 36 °C and 39 °C, in the case of recent frostbite no more than 18 °C to 20 °C.Pour the specified amount of the preparation immediately before the bath and stir well.The bathing time is usually 10 minutes.The bath can be used at any time of the day.

Patient information

In the case of major skin injuries, acute and unclear skin diseases, severe febrile and infectious diseases, heart failure and high blood pressure, the preparation should only be used after consulting a doctor.The preparation must not be used undiluted and should not be applied directly to the mucous membrane.Avoid contact with eyes.Accidental contact may cause temporary burning and reddening of the skin, which can be relieved by rinsing repeatedly with clean water.

There are no special requirements regarding the ability to drive or use machines.
