Area of application

This medicine is a medicinal rheumatism bath that promotes blood circulation.It is used as a supportive treatment for rheumatic diseases.It can also help to temporarily increase superficial blood circulation and can be used for first-degree frostbite injuries, such as chilblains.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The active ingredient in this preparation is benzyl nicotinate with a concentration of 5 mg.The excipients include quinoline yellow, spruce needle oil, isopropyl alcohol, patent blue V, polysorbate 20 and polysorbate 80.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are allergic to benzyl nicotinate or any of the other ingredients.It should also not be used in cases of severe heart, liver and kidney diseases, inflammatory skin diseases, open wounds, arterial vascular occlusions in limbs and severe diabetic microangiopathies.In addition, use is contraindicated during pregnancy, breastfeeding and in children under 12 years of age.

Dosage

The recommended dose for adults is approximately 5 ml of the preparation in 1 liter of water for hand baths, arm baths, foot baths and lower leg baths.For compresses, use about 10 ml per 1 liter of water.As a rule, one bath is taken per day.It can be used for as long as symptoms persist or as recommended by the doctor.

If you use more than intended, severe skin redness and burning may occur, which will disappear after a while.Rinsing several times with clear water is then recommended.Accidental ingestion of large amounts may cause nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.In this case, a doctor should be consulted.

If you forget to use it, do not add any additional concentrate, but take the recommended amount the next time you use it.If treatment is interrupted or stopped prematurely, symptoms may recur or worsen.

Intake

To prepare partial baths, a corresponding container is filled with water.The bathing temperature should be between 36 °C and 39 °C, in the case of recent frostbite no more than 18 °C to 20 °C.The amount of the preparation specified in the dosage is poured in immediately before the bath and stirred well.The bathing time is generally 10 minutes and can be used at any time of the day.

Patient information

In the case of major skin injuries, acute and unclear skin diseases, severe febrile and infectious diseases, heart failure and high blood pressure, the preparation should only be used after consulting a doctor.The preparation must not be used undiluted and should not be applied directly to the mucous membrane.Do not use around the eyes.Accidental contact with the face may cause a temporary, harmless burning sensation followed by reddening of the skin.Rinsing several times with clear water is then recommended.

Infants, small children and children under 12 years of age should be excluded from treatment.There are insufficient data for use in adolescents aged 12 to under 18 years, therefore use in adolescents under 18 years of age is not recommended.

There are no special requirements regarding the ability to drive or use machines.
