Directions for use of the article Cordes BPO 3% Gel: Cordes BPO 3% Gel is a medicinal product for acne containing the active substance benzoyl peroxide. It is used for the treatment of all forms of endogenous acne, especially in the facial area and in sensitive skin. Before use, it should be noted that the gel should not be applied to allergic skin or previously damaged skin areas, or near the eyes, mouth or corners of the nose. Caution is also advised in patients with a tendency to allergy-related eczema. It should be avoided to apply Cordes BPO 3% Gel at the same time as other irritant external medicines or to expose the treated skin areas to intensive UV-irradiation. During pregnancy and lactation, Cordes BPO 3% Gel should only be used after consultation with a doctor, as there is insufficient knowledge about the transfer of the active substance into breast milk. The gel is applied to cleansed skin once or twice a day. The duration of treatment depends on the type and severity of the acne disease and the skin reaction. Side effects may include mild skin irritation such as redness, itching, tightness and burning. These should subside after a few days. If symptoms persist or increase, the gel should be discontinued and medical advice sought. The pack of Cordes BPO 3% gel contains 30 g or 100 g.
