Area of application

CORDES BPO is a medicine used to treat acne that is applied directly to the skin.It contains the active ingredient benzoyl peroxide and is particularly effective for endogenous acne caused by the body's own metabolism.With regular use, CORDES BPO can lead to a visible improvement in the skin after just a few weeks.

Mode of action

CORDES BPO works in two ways: It has a peeling effect that loosens the top layer of calluses in the affected skin areas and removes calluses.This keeps the pores free and allows excess sebum and pus to drain away, speeding up the healing of existing impurities.In addition, CORDES BPO has an antibacterial effect by removing the breeding ground for acne bacteria and inhibiting the growth of the bacteria.This prevents inflammation and promotes healing of pimples.In contrast to antibiotics, the use of benzoyl peroxide does not lead to resistance, so the active ingredient can be used regularly without its effect wearing off.

Which potency is right for me?

CORDES BPO is available in three different strengths:

CORDES BPO 3%: This mild formula is particularly suitable for sensitive facial skin that quickly becomes irritated and red.It is ideal for people with blackheads and pimples on their faces.

CORDES BPO 5%: This strength is the top seller and is suitable for normal skin or when the 3% formula is not enough.It is also suitable for treating blackheads and pimples on the face.

CORDES BPO 10%: This strongest formula is suitable for insensitive skin where lower active ingredient concentrations do not have the desired effect.It is also suitable for treating pimples on the chest and back.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used if you are known to have an allergic reaction to the active ingredient benzoyl peroxide or to any of the other ingredients.

Dosage

Recommended use of CORDES BPO 3%:

For sensitive skin, CORDES BPO should initially be applied once a day in the evening, later up to twice a day until the acne has improved.

Step 1 - Cleanse: Cleanse the face or affected areas with a mild cleansing gel that does not promote blackheads.Do not massage the gel in and avoid vigorous rubbing to avoid skin irritation.Finally, wash it off with lukewarm water.

Step 2 - Dry: Dry the face or affected area of skin with a clean towel.Avoid strong rubbing and rubbing.

Step 3 - CORDES BPO: When the skin is completely dry, apply the CORDES BPO gel thinly to the affected areas with a finger (do not massage).Healthy skin is left out.Always make sure your hands are clean.

After application you should wash your hands thoroughly.The gel has a bleaching effect on fabrics and can bleach clothing and bed linen.Therefore, make sure that you keep the gel away from textiles and use e.g.B. white towels.

Intake

For use on the skin.Before using the product, the skin should be thoroughly cleansed.The gel is then applied thinly to the skin (do not massage in) and left on the skin.After application, your hands must be cleaned thoroughly.The medicine should not be applied to healthy skin.

Because of the bleaching effect, the medicine should not be used on the eyebrows, in the beard area or on the forehead hairline, and it must not come into contact with colored textiles.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the product.Caution is advised in patients with a predisposition to allergic eczema (atopics) when used on dry (sebostatic) skin.

The medicine must not be applied to mucous membranes or in the corners of the mouth, nose and eyes.Because of the high sensitization rate, benzoyl peroxide should not be used on previously damaged (eroded) skin.

No special precautions are required.

Pregnancy

The medicine should only be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding after careful advice from your doctor.The product should not be used in the last month of pregnancy.

There is no information available about the transfer into breast milk after external treatment during pregnancy. There is also no information about the concentration in breast milk after external (external) treatment during lactation (the time of milk production).For these reasons, a strict assessment of the benefit/risk ratio by the treating physician and particular caution when using benzoyl peroxide are required not only during pregnancy, but also during the lactation phase (breastfeeding).

There is currently no evidence of harm to the unborn child.
