BIOLAN® Eye drops

BIOLAN® Eye drops form a protective film for the cornea.The active ingredient sodium hyaluronate, a sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, ensures an even, stable and particularly long-lasting protective film on the cornea without impairing visual performance.As a result, the eye drops provide long-lasting relief from complaints caused by mechanical stress, such as when wearing hard or soft contact lenses or during diagnostic procedures on the eye.The eye drops can also help with environmental stress, such as from air conditioning, wind, cold, dryness or air pollution, for example from cigarette smoke.They are also suitable for people with strained eyes, e.g. when working on computer screens, microscopes and on long car journeys.Because they are free of preservatives, BIOLAN® are particularly well tolerated and suitable for contact lens wearers, even when used over a long period of time.

Area of application

BIOLAN® Eye drops help strained, stressed and dry eyes and provide long-lasting relief from the symptoms.These symptoms can develop from wearing hard or soft contact lenses, from environmental stress such as air conditioning, wind, cold, and from working on computer screens.The eye drops form an even and particularly long-lasting protective film on the cornea without impairing visual performance.

Mode of action

The active ingredient in the drops consists of a small proportion of water-binding sodium hyaluronate.Its viscoelastic properties ensure a stable tear film, which allows you to continue to see well.With BIOLAN® eye drops, dry eyes will soon be a thing of the past.The eye drops are mixed with 0.15% sodium hyaluronate.The natural, water-binding salt of hyaluronic acid ensures a stable tear film in the eye.

Ingredients of BIOLAN® eye drops: 1 ml contains sodium hyaluronate 0.15%, sodium chloride, sodium monohydrogen phosphate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate, water for injections.

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, the product should not be used.

Dosage

Recommended use of BIOLAN® eye drops: Lay your head back slightly, look upwards and pull the lower eyelid slightly away from the eye and place a drop into the conjunctival sac of the eye 3-5 times a day.Slowly close your eyes to allow the liquid to spread evenly over the surface of the eye.If the symptoms worsen or there is no improvement, see your ophthalmologist.

Patient information

BIOLAN® Eye drops contain phosphate buffers.With long-term use and in the event of corneal dysfunction, use can lead to precipitation of calcium salts in the cornea.

Notes

Store at 2°C to 25°C.Protect from frost.Store single-dose containers in the original carton protected from light.

Application

Separate a single-dose container.Make sure each one-dose container is undamaged.To open, twist off (do not pull) the flat end of the one-dose container.Tilt your head back a little, look up and slightly pull the lower eyelid away from the eye and place a drop into the conjunctival sac of the eye 3 - 5 times a day.Slowly close your eyes to allow the liquid to spread evenly over the surface of the eye.If the symptoms worsen or there is no improvement, consult your ophthalmologist.

Instructions for use

If you also use other eye drops/eye ointments, the application interval should be 15 minutes. BIOLAN® Eye drops should then always be administered last.Do not use on infected or injured eyes.After use, visual acuity may be temporarily reduced;In this case, do not drive a vehicle, do not operate any machines and wait until normal visual acuity has returned.
