Description

Passidon capsules are a traditional herbal medicine that is used to improve feelings during nervous stress and to support sleep.The active ingredient is the herb of passionflower (Passiflora incarnata) as a dry extract.Passionflower has been used as a medicinal plant since the 17th century and was even voted medicinal plant of the year in 2011.

Passidon is particularly recommended for nervous restlessness.It reduces internal tensions and thus restores mental balance.Passidon increases stress resistance, promotes calmness and has a relaxing effect without tiring.It has a quick effect and poses no risk of dependence, which is why it is also suitable for long-term therapy.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The active ingredient in Passidon is passion flower herb dry extract.One hard capsule contains 260 mg passion flower dry extract (5-7:1), with methanol 60% (V/V) serving as the extractant.

The other ingredients are cellulose powder, lactose monohydrate, highly disperse silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate (Ph. Eur.), gelatin, purified water, sodium dodecyl sulfate, chlorophyllin-copper complex and titanium dioxide.

Contraindications

Do not take Passidon if you are allergic to passionflower or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Dosage

The recommended dose for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over is two hard capsules twice daily.It is not intended for use in children under 12 years of age.There is no sufficient data to provide specific dosage recommendations for impaired kidney or liver function.

If your symptoms worsen during use or persist for more than two weeks, you should consult a doctor.Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

If you take more than you should, continue taking as directed unless you have significantly overdosed on the medicine.In this case you should consult a doctor.

Do not take a double dose if you forget to take the previous dose.Simply continue taking it regardless of the missed hard capsules.

Intake

The hard capsules are intended to be taken orally.Please take the capsules whole with some liquid, such as a glass of water.

Patient information

The user should consult a doctor or other qualified person working in a medical profession if symptoms of the disease persist or if side effects other than those mentioned here occur.There are no sufficient studies on its use in children, so Passidon should not be used in children under 12 years of age.

Passidon may impair the ability to drive and use machines.Impaired patients should not drive or operate machines.

Notes

If the restlessness worsens or there is no improvement after two weeks, you should consult a doctor.This medicine contains lactose.Please only take Passidon after consulting your doctor if you know that you have an intolerance to certain sugars.

Note for diabetics: One hard capsule contains less than 0.01 bread unit (BE).Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
