Directions for use of the article Aesculus Pentarkan D mixture: This homeopathic medicine is used for the treatment of venous disorders such as varicose veins. It contains the active ingredients Aesculus, Arnica, Calcium fluoratum, Collinsonia canadensis and Silybum marianum. It must not be used if you are allergic to arnica, other composite flowers or any of the other ingredients, or in alcoholics. Before use, a doctor should be consulted in case of sudden increased pain, painful swelling or bluish discolouration of the legs. The causes of the symptoms should also be clarified and any other measures prescribed by a doctor, such as wrapping the legs or wearing support stockings, should be followed. The usual dose for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age is 5 drops every half hour to every hour (maximum 6 times a day) for acute complaints and 5 drops 1 to 3 times a day for chronic cases. Pregnant and breastfeeding women are advised to consult a doctor before use. The medicinal product is available in a pack containing 50 ml of mixture and should be stored at a temperature below 25 °C. When taking the medicine, there may be a temporary worsening of symptoms.
