Instructions for use for HEPARIN-RATIOPHARM 60,000 Ointment, 150 g

Directions for use: Heparin-ratiopharm 60 000 Ointment contains the active substance heparin sodium and is used for the supportive treatment of acute swelling after blunt injuries, as well as superficial phlebitis. It also contains cetyl alcohol, potassium sorbate and various fragrances. The recommended dose is to apply thinly to the affected area 2-3 times a day. The ointment can be used either without a bandage or under a bandage. The duration of application should not exceed 10 days. The ointment should not be used on open wounds or skin inflammations. If symptoms of thrombosis or pulmonary embolism occur, the medicine should be discontinued and a medical examination should be carried out. The medicine should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be used after the expiry date. It should not be stored above 25 °C. For more information, see the package leaflet.
