Information for use with the article Venen Tabletten STADA retard: - Active substance: dry extract of horse chestnut seed. - Indications: Treatment of complaints associated with disorders of the leg veins (chronic venous insufficiency) such as swollen legs, varicose veins, feelings of heaviness and tightness, pain, itching, tiredness in the legs and calf cramps. - Dosage and administration: Take 1 sustained-release tablet 2 times daily, unchewed, with liquid before meals. - Storage information: Store the medicinal product away from heat. - Mode of action: Dry extract of horse chestnut seeds has a vasopressor, anti-oedema and anti-inflammatory effect. - Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the ingredients, not suitable for children and adolescents under 18 years of age, do not use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. - Side effects: Rarely occurring side effects are known. - Composition: Contains dry extract of horse chestnut seeds, 21 mg protoaescigenin and other excipients. - Indications: Exercise caution if allergic to the sweetener saccharin. - Commercial form: Retard tablets - Manufacturer: STADA CONSUMER HEALTH Note from our pharmacists: - General supply of a maximum of 15 packs per quarter is guaranteed. - Separate maximum quantities may be specified for certain medicines, especially if they are used for short periods or have an increased potential for overdose.
