Description

Zentragress is a medicine used to relieve pain, reduce fever and reduce inflammation.It contains a combination of paracetamol and caffeine.Paracetamol works by blocking the production of certain messenger substances in the body, making it analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory.Caffeine supports the pain-relieving effects of paracetamol.

Zentragress is used for mild to moderate pain such as headaches, toothaches, period pains and fever.No prescription is required for this product.

Application

Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over can take ½ to 1 tablet (corresponding to 175 to 350 mg paracetamol and 25 to 50 mg caffeine) up to 3-4 times daily.The maximum daily dose is 4 tablets (corresponding to 1400 mg paracetamol and 200 mg caffeine).

If the maximum single dose has been taken, an interval of at least 6 hours should be observed before the next dose.The tablets should be swallowed whole with sufficient liquid.

Ingredients

Each tablet contains 350 mg paracetamol and 50 mg caffeine as active ingredients.In addition, the preparation contains the following excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, potato starch, talc, magnesium stearate and highly disperse silicon dioxide.

Contraindications

Zentragress must not be taken if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to paracetamol, caffeine or any of the other ingredients.Children under 12 years of age should also not take the medicine.

Dosage

Always take Zentragress exactly as directed.The dosage depends on the information in the package insert.The dosing interval should not be less than 6 hours.If symptoms last longer than 3 days, you should consult a doctor.

From a body weight of 43 kg and for young people aged 12 and over as well as adults, the single dose is 1-2 tablets (350-700 mg paracetamol and 50-100 mg caffeine).The maximum daily dose should not exceed 8 tablets (2800 mg paracetamol and 400 mg caffeine).

In the case of liver or kidney dysfunction or Gilbert's syndrome, the dose must be reduced or the dose interval extended.In severe renal insufficiency, a minimum interval of 8 hours should be maintained between doses.No special dosage adjustment is required for elderly patients.There is not enough information available for children under 12 years of age.

Do not take the product for longer than 3 days without medical or dental advice.

Intake

The tablets should be swallowed whole with plenty of liquid.Taking it after meals may result in a delayed onset of action.

Patient information

Particular caution is required when using Zentragress if you are a chronic alcoholic, suffer from impaired liver function, have a previously damaged kidney, have an overactive thyroid, have cardiac arrhythmias or suffer from anxiety disorders.If your symptoms worsen or do not improve after 3 days, you should see a doctor.

To prevent the risk of overdose, you should make sure that other medicines you are taking at the same time do not contain paracetamol.Long-term, high-dose and improper use of painkillers can cause headaches that cannot be treated with increased doses.Habitual use of painkillers can cause permanent kidney damage.

When stopping abruptly after long-term, high-dose use and improper use, headaches, fatigue, muscle pain, nervousness and vegetative symptoms may occur.These symptoms subside within a few days.Until then, painkillers should not be taken again and should not be taken again without medical advice.

Zentragress has no influence on the ability to drive or use machines.However, caution should always be exercised after taking painkillers.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Before taking any medication, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.If necessary, Zentragress can be used during pregnancy.You should use the lowest possible dose that relieves your pain and/or fever and take the medicine for the shortest possible time.

Paracetamol and caffeine pass into breast milk.Since there are no known adverse consequences for the infant, it is generally not necessary to interrupt breastfeeding. With short-term use of the recommended dose, interruption of breast-feeding will usually not be necessary.If you use it for a long time or take higher doses, you should stop breastfeeding.
