Skin disinfection
Skin disinfection is one of the most important measures in medical facilities.Every measure that involves damaging the skin requires skin disinfection, e.g.B. before blood collection, before injections, the placement of indwelling venous cannulas, the removal of stitches or staples or wound care. There are two techniques for skin disinfection: spraying and rubbing. While with the spraying method the skin area in question is sprayed with skin disinfectant until it is completely wetted, with the rubbing method the agent is applied using a swab until the area to be disinfected is completely covered.
