Cutasept F solution is a colourless propanol-based skin antiseptic. It is used before punctures, injections, surgical procedures and for hygienic hand disinfection. The solution acts quickly and comprehensively, has good skin compatibility and a long-term effect of 24 hours. It is applied by spraying or rubbing it onto the area to be disinfected. Cutasept F solution contains the active ingredient propan-2-ol in a concentration of 63.0 g per 100 g solution. In addition to propan-2-ol, the solution also contains benzalkonium chloride and purified water. The product is not suitable for persons with hypersensitivity to the ingredients and should not be used in the immediate vicinity of the eyes. Use during pregnancy and lactation is possible, but use on infants and young children should only be done under medical supervision. The dosage and exposure time of Cutasept F solution depends on the type of procedure. It should act for at least 15 seconds on skin that is low in talc glands and at least 10 minutes on skin that is high in talc glands. Cutasept F solution is manufactured by PAUL HARTMANN AG.
