It can also be used for bowel evacuation during diagnostic or therapeutic procedures in the rectal area. Lecicarbon E CO2 Laxans is used additionally when other laxatives have previously been unsuccessful. It contains the active ingredients sodium hydrogen carbonate and sodium dihydrogen phosphate. This medicine should not be used for a long period of time or in higher doses without consulting a doctor. If needed, a suppository is inserted into the rectum and the onset of action occurs in 15-30 minutes. Mild side effects such as a slight burning sensation may occur.
