Information for use with the product Mucofalk Orange Granules Tin: - Mucofalk Orange contains the active ingredient Indian psyllium husks (ground), a herbal swelling agent for stool regulation. - It is used in cases of prolonged constipation, conditions that require easier defecation with soft stools, such as tears in the mucous membrane of the anus (anal fissures), haemorrhoids and painful defecation after surgical procedures in the rectal region, as well as in cases of diarrhoea of various causes and to increase the daily intake of dietary fibre. - Mucofalk Orange must not be taken if you are allergic to psyllium (Plantago, Psyllium) or any of the other ingredients, sudden changes in bowel habits last longer than 2 weeks, there is no bowel movement after taking a laxative, there are swallowing or throat problems, blood in the stools without a clear cause, a narrowing in the gastrointestinal tract, a disease of the oesophagus or the entrance to the stomach, an imminent or existing intestinal obstruction (ileus), intestinal paralysis or pathological enlargement of the large intestine (megacolon syndrome). - When taking Mucofalk Orange, some precautions should be taken, e.g. B. Adequate fluid intake, immediate medical consultation if symptoms occur such as chest pain, vomiting, difficulty swallowing or breathing, and medical supervision if taking certain medicines such as cardiac glycosides, coumarin derivatives, carbamazepine, lithium and thyroid hormones. - The recommended dose for the treatment of constipation and disorders with facilitated bowel emptying is one level measuring spoon of Mucofalk Orange 2 to 3 times a day after stirring in plenty of liquid (at least 150 ml). For supportive treatment of diarrhoea and irritable bowel syndrome, take one level measuring spoon 2 to 6 times a day. - Mucofalk Orange may cause flatulence and bloating, especially if you do not drink enough fluids.
