Lactulose AIWA 670 mg/ml oral solution is used to treat the symptoms of constipation and to treat a specific liver disease called portocaval encephalopathy. It contains the active ingredient lactulose, which acts as a laxative, drawing water into the intestines to soften stools. The recommended dose varies according to age and area of use. It is recommended to take the medicine undiluted or diluted in liquid and to drink enough liquid during the treatment. If there is no improvement in symptoms after three days, a doctor should be consulted. The medicine must not be taken if there is an allergy to lactulose or other ingredients or if certain diseases are present. Dosage and use should always be exactly as directed by the doctor or pharmacist. Interactions with other medicinal products are possible.
