Information for use with the article Lactulose AIWA 670 mg/ml Oral solution: - Lactulose AIWA 670 mg/ml Oral solution is used: - To treat the symptoms of constipation. - To treat a specific liver disease (portocaval encephalopathy). - The solution contains lactulose, a laxative (laxative) which draws water into the intestines and softens the stools. - It is recommended to take the solution at the same time every day, either undiluted or diluted in liquid. - The recommended starting dose for adults and adolescents over 14 years of age is 15-45 ml per day, depending on the desired effect. - Treatment with lactulose AIWA may take 2-3 days to achieve the desired effect. - Gastrointestinal complaints such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain and flatulence may occur. - Before use, possible contraindications such as allergies to lactulose or other components of the medicinal product as well as certain intestinal or metabolic disorders should be taken into account. - The medicinal product should not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age, unless there are specific indications. - It should be stored at room temperature away from moisture. - For more information, see the package leaflet and consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or are unsure.
