Macrogol-ratiopharm Balance is a mild and well-tolerated laxative used to treat chronic constipation in adolescents aged 12 and over, adults and elderly patients. It contains the active ingredient macrogol 3350, which softens the stool and facilitates intestinal transit. In addition, it contains various salts to maintain normal levels of sodium, potassium and water in the body. The duration of use should not normally exceed 2 weeks unless your doctor recommends that you take it for longer. The preparation is available in powder form and is dissolved in water and taken. It is well tolerated and can be taken independently of meals. When using the preparation, you should note that it has some contraindications, e.g. hypersensitivity to the ingredients or certain intestinal diseases.
