Instructions for use of the article Macrogol-ratiopharm Balance powder Macrogol-ratiopharm Balance powder is a medicinal product for the treatment of chronic constipation in adolescents, adults and elderly patients. It contains the active ingredients macrogol 3350, sodium chloride, sodium hydrogen carbonate and potassium chloride. The medicine has a mild and well-tolerated effect, supports bowel activity and helps with natural bowel emptying. It can be used long-term without causing habituation effects. It is used by dissolving the powder in water and can be taken independently of meals. The recommended dosage is 1-3 sachets per day, depending on individual needs. The duration of treatment should not normally exceed 2 weeks. The medicine must not be used if allergic reactions to any of the ingredients occur or in severe intestinal disorders. Side effects may include gastrointestinal problems such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and flatulence. The medicine should be stored away from heat and kept in the refrigerator after opening.
