Information for use with the article MYKUNDEX HEALING OINTMENT: Mykundex Healing Ointment is used for the treatment of skin infections caused by nystatin-sensitive yeast fungi such as Candida albicans. The ointment contains the active ingredients nystatin (100,000 I.U./g) and zinc oxide (200 mg/g). Before using Mykundex Healing Ointment, it should be noted that it must not be used if there is hypersensitivity to nystatin, zinc oxide or any of the other ingredients. When applied to the genital or anal area, the safety of condoms may be impaired. The healing ointment is applied to the affected skin areas once or several times a day, covering the affected areas completely. Treatment should be continued for a few days after complete healing. Possible side effects of the healing ointment may include allergic reactions of the skin such as rash and itching. If side effects occur, a doctor or pharmacist should be contacted.
