Area of application

The healing ointment is used to treat yeast infections of the skin.It is used for skin infections caused by nystatin-sensitive yeasts, such as Candida albicans.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The ointment contains 100,000 international units of nystatin and 200 milligrams of zinc oxide per gram as active ingredients. Thick paraffin and wool wax alcohol ointment are included as excipients.

Contraindications

The use of the healing ointment is not permitted if there is an allergy to nystatin, zinc oxide or any of the other components of the drug.

Dosage and application

The medicine should always be used according to the instructions or after consulting a doctor or pharmacist.The recommended dose is to apply the ointment to the affected skin areas one to several times a day and to cover them completely.Treatment should continue for a few days even after healing.

You should speak to a doctor or pharmacist before use.Treatment in the genital or anal area can lead to a reduction in the tear resistance of latex condoms.Due to the high osmolarity of nystatin, its use in very underweight and immature premature infants is not recommended.

The medicine has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines.
