Instructions for use for MYKUNDEX Healing ointment, 50 g

Mykundex Healing Ointment is a remedy for skin infections caused by nystatin-sensitive yeast fungi such as Candida albicans. The ointment contains the active ingredient nystatin (100,000 I.U./g) and zinc oxide (200 mg/g). The duration of use is not limited and the ointment should be continued for a few days after the symptoms have subsided. The ointment is applied to the affected skin areas once or several times a day. Possible side effects are skin rash and itching. The ointment must not be used if there is hypersensitivity to nystatin, zinc oxide or any of the other ingredients. When used in the genital or anal area, the safety of condoms may be impaired due to the excipient paraffin. Use during pregnancy and lactation should only take place after a strict risk-benefit assessment. The medicinal product should be stored at room temperature and can be used for 9 months after opening. Skin irritation may occur and the medicinal product should not be used in case of allergy to fungicides or emulsifiers.
