Instructions for use of Mykundex healing ointment

Mykundex healing ointment is a remedy for yeast infections of the skin.It is used for skin infections caused by nystatin-sensitive yeasts such as Candida albicans.The ointment contains the active ingredients nystatin and zinc oxide.Nystatin damages the cell membrane of fungi and inhibits their growth or kills them.Zinc oxide acts against pathogens and inflammation and promotes wound healing.

Application

Apply the healing ointment to the affected skin once or several times a day and cover the affected areas completely.Treatment should be continued for a few days after complete healing.If your symptoms worsen or do not improve, please consult a doctor.

Contraindications

Mykundex healing ointment must not be used if you are hypersensitive to nystatin, zinc oxide or any of the other ingredients of the ointment.When treating the genital or anal area, the tear resistance of latex condoms may be reduced due to the paraffin additive.Due to the high osmolarity of nystatin, its use in very underweight and immature premature infants is not recommended.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

There are no sufficient data on the use of Mykundex healing ointment during pregnancy.The ointment should only be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding after a strict benefit-risk assessment.Application over large areas and use on the breastfeeding breast should be avoided.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Mykundex healing ointment can have side effects, although not everyone gets them.In rare cases, allergic reactions to one of the components of the healing ointment are possible.If you notice any side effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Storage

Keep the medicine out of the reach and reach of children and do not use it after the expiry date stated on the carton and tube.The ointment should not be stored above 25°C.Once the tube has been opened, it can be used for 9 months.

Composition

The active ingredients are nystatin (100,000 IU/g) and zinc oxide (200 mg/g).The other ingredients are wool wax alcohol ointment and thick paraffin.
